7th International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Environment
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
JGSEE-CEE, in collaboration with its consortium partners* and Kyoto University, is pleased to announce the organization of the 7th International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Environment or “SEE 2018” on the theme “Technology & Innovation for Global Energy Revolution” during 28-30 November 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Since the first of its series of biennial conferences that started a decade ago, the “SEE” Conference has focused on advances in science and technology that addresses energy security, environmental impacts and climate change issues. SEE 2018 will continue to adhere to this over-arching theme and be in line with Thailand’s new economic model referred to as Thailand 4.0. This model aims at creating a value-based economy that is driven by innovation, technology and creativity and a society that has an economic system capable of adjusting to climate change, transitioning toward a low carbon society. These aspects are on top of the energy and environmental policy agenda not only of Thailand but other countries in the region. It is clear that science, smart technologies and innovation will be crucial to the next energy revolution, and underpin sustainable growth and development in the region and globally in the future. SEE 2018 will therefore serve as a forum for the exchange of information, knowledge and experiences, and networking opportunities in the field of renewable energy and smart energy systems, energy efficiency, low carbon technologies, energy storage, smart city and transport, environmental and climate science, and mitigation technology, and energy and climate policy. Potential contributors from academia, research organizations, government agencies and international institutions, and private sector practitioners are invited to submit papers in the areas of science, technology and policy, for oral and poster presentations at the conference.
